Double win at Stoneking Rally

We did it again! Double win at the Stoneking Rally that finished in Bordighera Italy. Caro wins, closely followed by Anita.

The Stone King Rally is a renowned six-day enduro stage race that stretches from Arvieux, France, to Bordighera, Italy. This event features 24 timed downhill stages across a grueling 275 kilometers with a total of 5,920 meters of climbing and a massive 21,010 meters of descent.

This year's rally saw intense competition, particularly between the two of us. ;-) After a challenging start, Anita received a motivational boost and closed the gap on Caro to finish the race a mere 5 sec behind after 6 days. Caro's performance was impressive, but it was a close contest that highlighted our competitive spirit and mutual encouragement​.

The rally not only tests physical endurance but also the adaptability of the participants to different terrains and conditions. Riders navigate through diverse landscapes, including abandoned trails revived for the event, such as the Viadino trail.

The event is as much about community and culture as it is about racing. Riders and locals bond over food and drinks, sharing experiences and forming lasting friendships. The rally serves as a celebration of mountain biking culture, blending the thrill of competition with the joys of exploration and camaraderie​.
